  • Eligibility: We only accept returns for items purchased from fairphone.com directly. If you purchased from a partner or retailer, please refer to their return policy.
  • Timeframe: You have 14 days from the date of delivery to register your return online.
  • Costs: Return shipping is free. However, the original shipping cost will not be refunded.
  • Condition: Items must be returned in new condition with the original packaging.
  • Refunds: Once your return has been validated by our team, please allow up to five business days for the refund to reach your original payment method.

How long do I have to return my order?

You have 14 days from the date of delivery to register your return request online.

Can I return a product I bought from another store (e.g., Amazon, MediaMarkt)?

No. The online return form is exclusive to items purchased directly from the Fairphone webshop. If you purchased your device from a partner or third-party retailer, please contact them directly to handle your return.

What condition should the item be in?

To be eligible for a refund, items must be in new, unused condition with original packaging and all tags attached.

Are there any items I cannot return?

Yes. Certain items are ineligible for return, such as Final Sale items.

Is return shipping free?

Return shipping is free. However, if user damage is found, then a fee will be levied to return the device.

Will I be refunded for the original shipping cost?

No. Original shipping charges are non-refundable

How long will it take to get my refund?

Once we receive your package and our warehouse validates the return, please allow up to five business days for the refund to appear on your original payment method.

What information do I need to start my return?

You will need your order number and the email address used to place the order.

My device is damaged or not working. Should I return it here?

We recommend using our repairs and troubleshooting page to find a solution first, before attempting to return your device. Our customer support agents will help you figure out whether a return is needed or not.

Once you register your return online, you will be able to print a shipping label instantly. Simply attach it to the box and drop it off at a UPS access point.
