Yes, the Fairbuds 2 connect via standard Bluetooth and are compatible with both iOS and Android devices. The companion Fairbuds app and full feature set (presets, EQ, firmware updates) require the app, available for both platforms.

None! The Fairbuds 2 are designed for a tool-free, glue-free battery swap in both the earbuds and the case.

The Fairbuds 2 battery replacement kit is €9.95, and the charging case battery replacement is €12.95.

Yes! In case of loss, you can buy a charging case core for €29.95 as a spare part.

Yes! You can purchase a single replacement earbud instead of buying a whole new pair, so a lost earbud doesn’t mean starting over.

Repair guides for the Fairbuds 2 are available on the Fairphone website as well as our YouTube channel, walking you through steps like replacing the earbud or case batteries.

Across Europe, the Fairbuds 2 are available on Fairphone.com as well as through select European retailers, operators and resellers.

Yes, your warranty stays valid even if you move, as long as you have your proof of purchase and registration on hand.

The 3-year warranty covers manufacturing defects and faults outside your control. Swapping a worn battery or a user-replaceable part yourself is a repair, not a warranty claim, and won’t affect your coverage.

The Fairbuds 2 are crafted with 48,6% fair and recycled materials including plastics, rare earth elements, tin, cobalt, copper, gold and silver, and produced under fair working conditions as part of Fairphone’s Living Wage Bonus and Workers’ Voice programs. Fairbuds 2 is also e-waste neutral.

The Fairbuds 2 are designed for daily wear from cleaner materials. We pioneered the use of PFAS-free and more than 75% post-consumer recycled material, keeping persistent chemicals off your skin and choosing smarter materials for the planet.

For every Fairbuds 2 unit sold, Fairphone collects and recycles an equivalent weight of e-waste elsewhere, offsetting the product’s own eventual waste footprint.

Yes, the Fairbuds 2 already meet and exceed the direction of the EU Batteries Regulation, which will require user-replaceable batteries in portable devices from February 2027. Wireless earbuds have not been named in the current exemption list, so much of the industry may eventually need to catch up to where the Fairbuds 2 already stand!
