Bootloader Unlocking Code for Fairphone 3 and Fairphone 4

Unlocking the bootloader lets you run custom operating systems on your Fairphone 3 and Fairphone 4.

Note: Unlocking the bootloader disables important security features. Only do this if you know what you are doing.

In order to receive a code for unlocking the bootloader of your Fairphone 3 or Fairphone 4, you need to fill in its IMEI and the serial number.

You can find the IMEI by going to Settings > About phone > IMEI (sim slot 1):

The serial number is visible in Settings > About phone > Model & Hardware > Serial number:

Once you have both IMEI and serial number, fill them into the following form to receive your unlock code.

Use this code to unlock your Fairphone 3 and Fairphone 4. See below for details.

With your unlocking code from the form above you can unlock the bootloader of your Fairphone 3 and Fairphone 4. To do so, follow these instructions:

Enable Developer Mode
1. Go into Settings > About phone
2. Press Build number seven times until you see a small message telling you that Developer mode is enabled.
Go to Settings > System > Advanced > Developer options. Make sure you followed step 1 from above if Developer options is not visible.
Enable OEM unlocking and follow the instructions. You might need to enter the PIN, password or pattern for unlocking the lock screen of your FP3 or FP4.
Enter the code from this page and press Enable.
