About your role

Fairphone is eager to connect with new audiences, scale our sales and grow brand awareness across Europe. We are looking to hire a digital marketing manager to support the Brand & Marketing team in effectively promoting our message across all digital channels and overseeing our digital marketing efforts towards BtoC and BtoB audiences. 

In this role, you will develop and coordinate digital marketing strategies to increase Fairphone’s brand awareness and consideration, maximize conversion and leverage brand advocates. You will have acquisition, retention, and growth plans.

You also work closely with your colleagues in the Brand & Marketing team, especially the social media manager, retention and automation manager and digital marketeer, in executing these strategies across paid and owned channels.

Your skills & experience

  • You have around 5-7 years of previous experience in digital campaign management for consumer goods.

  • You have a strong background in digital, media and campaign planning across European markets.

  • You are familiar with working with website analytics tools, such as Google Analytics, as well as paid media tools, such as Google Ad Manager and Meta ads and social media channels (Bloomreach knowledge is a plus).

  • In-depth knowledge of digital campaigns, paid media, and best practices.

  • You have the ability to analyze metrics, reports, and trends and are used to working on continuous improvements.

  • You are data-driven, research-focused, and have an eye for detail.

  • You can lead your own projects end-to-end and work on multiple projects at the same time.

  • You have a Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, communications, or a similar relevant field.

  • Ability to think strategically and articulate strategic initiatives. Excellent presentation, writing and communication skills are required in English.

  • Native or professional skills in German, Dutch, or French are a plus! 

  • Experience working with a purpose-driven brand or experience in the consumer electronics industry is a great plus.


Your responsibilities

  • In this role, you will take a strategic approach to manage and optimize our digital marketing channels to meet Marketing, Sales, ROI and budget goals with always-on and hero campaigns.

  • You will define and orchestrate digital acquisition, retention and conversion efforts using the right touchpoints across paid, earned and owned media in partnership with the channel experts in the activation team, brand strategy team and e-commerce team.

  • Maintain consistent brand messaging across all digital channels and create and maintain the campaign calendar to deliver targeted content. This includes paid media, social media, SEO, apps, influencers, email and website content and other forms of digital communication.

  • Drive and develop new product introduction strategies as well as promotional campaigns on paid and owned digital channels, working closely with the e-commerce team.

  • Brief media and creative agencies for campaigns, develop media plans and monitor media budgets.

  • Define digital experience on fairphone.com, brief the e-commerce team on new pages, and plan online content in alignment with the activation team and brand strategy team.

  • Prepare reports and analytics on the overall performance of various marketing campaigns, including ROIs and KPIs, with clear direction on what we can do differently to increase performance.

  • Manage and collaborate with agencies (creative, media, optimizations, etc) and other partners.

  • Leverage data to understand our target audiences’ behaviour; use data to design marketing campaigns, messaging and activities. 

  • Collaborate with the entire Brand and Marketing team to brainstorm new and innovative growth strategies and marketing techniques.

✔️ 5+ years of experience in a customer support leadership role, preferably in consumer electronics, technology, FMCG, hospitality, or e-commerce.

Your responsibilities

  • Technical responsibility of the Odoo web platform.

About your role

We are looking for a freelancer or consultant to support our Product Management and Impact Innovation teams. In this role, you will work with our Compliance and Product Managers to ensure that our (sub-)suppliers provide accurate and timely information on the product composition as well as the type and amount of materials used in our products and their (sub-)components. You will also work closely with our Circular Supply Chain Innovator who is responsible for the integration of recycled and fairly mined materials into our products.

Your profile

  • Academic and professional background in material science, electronics engineering, chemical engineering, or a related field.
  • Proficient in Mandarin and English (both spoken and written), as the majority of suppliers are based in China.
  • Strong attention to detail and data accuracy; proven research skills.
  • An understanding of electronics product composition, and previous experience with Full Material Declarations, is desired.
  • Track record in supplier engagement and management, with a focus on communication and persuasion.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage relationships and work cross-culturally.

Your responsibilities

  • Monitoring and ensuring our final assembly (ODM partners) collect supplier data on our platform, in particular information on product composition and material content for Full Material Declarations (FMDs), as well as potentially other supplier sustainability data.
  • Verifying the accuracy and completeness of the data and following up with suppliers, most of whom are based in China, to ensure errors are corrected and gaps are filled. This involves:
    • requesting suppliers to check and report the product composition (both the substance and the weight), and
    • conducting additional research to find supporting evidence to corroborate and verify the data provided by the  sub-suppliers  and to correct the data where necessary.
  • Assisting suppliers in improving their data input process and accuracy, build their knowledge and capacity, for effective and accurate data collection.
  • Collaborating with internal teams to ensure data consistency and to support the achievement of product and sustainability KPIs.
  • Deliver, together with our final assembly (ODM partners), a finalised Full Material Declaration (FMD) with a confidence level of 95%.
