On the software front, The Fairphone (Gen. 6) comes with Android 15 out of the box, with Google Gemini, the AI assistant from Google.

Designed to supercharge your creativity and productivity, Google Gemini can help you with a wide variety of tasks, from writing, image generation, planning, and more. You also have the option to switch it off if you don’t need it. 

We recognize that in this day and age, data privacy is a legitimate concern. For our more privacy-minded customers, we will also be offering The Fairphone with Murena’s /e/OS as well. It’s all about choice. Keep what you need. Take out what you don’t. 

 The Fairphone (Gen. 6) Camera: Get the perfect shot every time

We focused on making the camera setup reliable, versatile, and powerful where it counts. You’re looking at

• A 50 megapixel main camera with a Sony Lytia 700C sensor
• A 13 megapixel ultra-wide lens for the bigger picture
• A 32 megapixel front camera with a Samsung KD1 sensor

The user interface is clean, intuitive, and easy to use: Shoot in HDR; go 4K; get really cinematic with super slow motion shots at 240 fps. The main camera sensor comes with a larger aperture to let more light in, which means low-light shots are brighter, more dynamic — and with a little help from smart AI processing, you’re looking at photos that always pop. 

And if you want to really get into it, switch to Pro mode and shoot RAW images. The images are sharp. The colors are true. It doesn’t matter whether you’re shooting on the fly, or taking your time getting that perfect shot—the camera will do the heavy lifting.  

The Fairphone Gen. 6: Modular, durable, long-lasting

The Fairphone (Gen. 6) is built to last in every way. It’s tough and durable, made with scratch-resistant Gorilla Glass 7i, and drop-tested from a height of 1.8 meters. It’s weatherproof with an IP55 rating, and comes with a five-year warranty, and software support through 2033. That’s at least eight years of updates, with seven Android upgrades included. On top of this, spare parts availability is guaranteed till 2033 (at least). 

And then there’s our extremely easy-to-maintain modular design: the battery, the screen, the speaker, the cameras are all replaceable. This is expected from us by now. But we’ve taken modularity even further this time. Not just modular for repair, but modular for personalization.
